Botox and Fillers
Dermal fillers and botox are both minimally invasive, injectable cosmetic treatments. Both are performed as outpatient procedures in the comfort of your doctor’s office and require minimal downtime. While both can improve the overall appearance of the face, they achieve this in different ways.
Botox is primarily used to treat fine lines and wrinkles. It is a purified form of the botulinum toxin, but is a safe, FDA approved treatment that has been used for several decades now.
Botox works by blocking nerve signals to the muscles that cause fine lines around the eyes, forehead, and mouth, also known as expression lines. By blocking the nerve signals, muscles in the injection site become temporarily paralyzed, thus softening or eliminating wrinkles from the area. These results can last up to three months, and the treatment takes about five minutes to complete.
Dermal fillers, on the other hand, are primarily used to rejuvenate the skin and add volume and fullness to various areas of the face.

Laser Hair Removal
Unwanted or excessive hair growth can leave you feeling down and less-confident about your appearance, while ingrown hairs can cause a lot of pain and unsightly bumps. In the past, treatment for these issues was only effective for lighter skinned individuals with dark hair, but fortunately laser hair removal has become more accessible and advanced in recent years. At our practice, we are able to safely treat people with virtually all skin types and hair colors.
Lasers emit a specialized, pulsed light, which is absorbed by the pigment in your hair and then transmitted down the hair shaft to the root. The hair follicle is damaged by the heat of the laser, which prohibits future growth.
Before your procedure, we will evaluate your skin and hair type in order for us to select the best laser to suit your needs. We will also thoroughly discuss the possible risks, your expectations, and the best ways to prepare for treatment.
The duration of each session varies depending on what area of the body you are having treatment. A small area such as the upper lip may take only five minutes, while a larger area like the back or legs may take up to one hour. The area should be shaved or cut short prior to treatment. For best results, we recommend that you do not wax or pluck hairs for three weeks prior to treatment.
Laser hair removal is safe and effective when performed by a physician or other licensed professional specializing in laser technology. At our practice, you can expect the highest level of treatment from our qualified professionals.

Stretch Marks
Although there are several creams and ointments on the market that claim to reduce the appearance of stretch marks, none have proven to be successful. Stretch marks are naturally hard to treat, especially mature, white stretch marks.
Fortunately, new laser technologies are effectively reducing the appearance of even the toughest of stretch marks. Whether stretch marks are from pregnancy, hormonal changes, weight fluctuations, or something else, we can help.
How does it work?
Due to the nature of stretch marks, no amount of treatment can make them disappear completely. However, with the combination of different lasers and light-based therapies, the appearance of stretch marks can be drastically reduced.
Lasers are most effective on stretch marks that are still red in color. Laser energy can target and help reduce red pigmentation, changing the skin back to a uniform color. Older stretch marks can be treated by emitting light that encourages the skin to produce more natural pigmentation, lessening the appearance of the marks.
Laser stretch mark treatments are performed on an outpatient basis in our offices. Depending on the laser being used for your case, you may or may not need topical numbing cream. Patients typically describe feeling a light snapping sensation. You may resume all normal activities immediately after treatment.
The number of sessions needed to achieve results varies depending on your particular case. Usually, older stretch marks will require more treatments over time to achieve the best results. Your condition will be assessed and a treatment plan will be recommended at your consultation.
Laser therapy is intended to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Although all patients will see improvement, results will vary. For more information on stretch mark laser therapy and to make an appointment for a consultation today, please call our office. We will be happy to assist you!
